Table Talk with Pastor Kari Jo We will gather in the fellowship hall Wed Jan 8 for a light dinner starting at 5:30, and the conversation will continue to about 7:00 PM. This month, I'd like us to dip our toes into Martin Hagglund's recent book "This Life: Secular Faith and Spiritual Freedom" in which he argues that the central pillar of many conventional religions (Christianity in particular) that death and loss are not final -- that there is a chance for eternal life -- diminishes rather than enriches the lives we lead here on earth. If you want to do some advance (optional) reading to prepare for the conversation, please see the three-paragraph introduction to this article: https://thepointmag.com/remarks/limited-time-robert-pippin-hagglund-this-life/. Retired Gentlemen: All gentlemen of a certain age are invited to meet at Paddy's Public House, 95 Elm St. West Newton, at 11:30 am on the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is Tue February 11.
Choir Rehearsal: Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesdays 7:30p - 9:00p. All are welcome. If you have any questions, please call Katherine Sipolt.
